The works of Pablo Casals Concert. Incredible Cello Concert. 11/20 and 11/21
Isn’t it time to start honoring those who have given us so much hope for a world of peace?

The Pablo Casals Concert, sponsored by WAMM, is intended to do just that this November.

It will be performed on Saturday, November 21, 7:00 p.m.
and Sunday, November 22, 4:00 p.m.
at Plymouth Congregational Church,
1900 Nicollet Avenue South, Minneapolis.

Pablo Casals, one of the world's great cellists, devoted his life both to music and to bringing peace and justice to the world. Although Casals died in 1973, his music and his work live on.

This concert will be held to remember and honor him. Featured performers are composer/cellist James David Jacobs from New York City and Minnesota composer/violinist Bill Panks.

James David Jacobs taught cello, conducted choir and hosted a monthly salon at the renowned Brooklyn Conservatory of Music from 1999 to 2007. For many years he hosted New York Public Radio's "Music in the Morning" show as well as a music appreciation radio show for children. He now composes music for TV, theater and dance. He will perform works by Pablo Casals and J. S. Bach.

Bill Panks is a graduate of Carlton College and will perform an original work.

Suggested Donation: $10.00 to $25.00. Reservations can be made up until November 16, or donate at the door.

2. It is also Sunday afternoon
Please share with the others at your concert.

I guess for those who love classical music, there are much loved musicians playing at this concert.

and that there is going to be 6 cello's playing in harmony, which several people have mentioned to me.

4. I heard it was a great turn out and an excellent concert
I was told both days the people were spilling out of the hallways.

A co-worker told me that she here the organizer, Patty Guerro, on MPR say that it was a beautiful concert.

With all the frustrating news on Healthcare reform, continued occupations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Palestine. it is nice to hear people came out for Peace music.
