I went for the first time. Damn that was awesome. There are so many colorful characters in South MPLS. It makes you think about bicycles in whole new ways. I'm curious about what the people on the very high bicycles do when they have to stop? The ones I saw just tried to pace themselves so that they always got green lights. The people on stilts scare me. I also shook Keith Ellison's hand, and met Al Franken's wife Franni. Al's daughter Tomasin was there too. I don't know if Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer was there but many of his supporters were. Coolness. Keith is a pretty friendly dude. I remember him slapping high fives at the Obama rally back in Feb.
I also went to the environment conference at St. Olaf and met Senator Amy Klobuchar. Cool stuff in the north star state. Lots of wind power and energy saving research going on. She shared video and pics from her trip to Greenland.
