1. Ask Northwest, who goes to school in Fargo
and will probably have a pretty good idea of what's going on in Moorhead.

Will you be at Concordia or at Moorhead State?

3. I've lived in Fargo
and I still live in the area in Minnesota, and I like it. Northwest and west central Minnesota is probably a little more conservative than it is liberal, but it's not too bad. We tend to elect both Democrats and Republicans to the state legislature. Collin Peterson is our representative in Washington. He's a Democrat, though he's quite moderate, and he's been re-elected a number of times. I don't think he's facing any serious competition this year.

Clay county (where Moorhead is located) is split pretty evenly between Democrats and Republicans. It will vote for either party in presidential elections. Bill Clinton won Clay county in both 1992 and 1996, and Dukakis won it in 1988, but Bush won in 2000. Looking at the results from the 2000 election, Gore + Nader received 47.5% of the vote in Clay county, while Bush received 50.1%.

You can go to the Fargo Forum website for a little info about what's going on: http://www.in-forum.com/
