Sat's Strib Bloghouse section

..has a quote from Residential Forces blog (http://www.residualforces.com) that is particularly interesting (December 12th entry):

"I’ve just caught wind that a person will be running for Governor as an independent from the right.

I cannot say who, but I can assure you that this person is on the right side of the political spectrum. The person is very upset with Pawlenty’s recent policy decisions, and has decided to challenge him for his job."

Any speculation on who this would be? This certainly is encouraging. Anything that would even slightly split right-leaning votes is good news for us. -- especially when the last few governor elections have been so evenly split.

and can't remember the name of the guy who challenged Pawlenty for the Republican endoresement last time. I seem to recall he made his money in water filters and is a real wingnut. Maybe he's gone Independent.

Or maybe I'm having a brain bubble storm and none of what I think I remember is correct.

3. Pawlenty had to steal much of his GOP primary platform from Sullivan
Because otherwise Sullivan would have got the nomination with the Taxpayers' Leage backing/endorcement.
