Sounds like Bush may be in town next month
That was all the information I received in an email today. Though the email said it was confirmed that DimSon would be coming in for a Mark Kennedy fundraiser. When I hear more, I'll pass it on (though I'll bet some of you will hear before I do.)

Usually I cringe at the thought of Bush touching Minnesota soil, but I hope this info is true. If Kennedy is dumb enough to let Bush campaign for him (especially after what happened to Randy Kelly) it can only be good news for us.

1. One way to keep track of exactly where he'll be

and when, in the very immediate future: http://www.aopa.org/whatsnew/notams.html#5/0552

These are Temporary Flight Restrictions. What they mean is that airplanes can't fly over or land near anywhere the Shrub or Darth Cheney will be, so they publish these notices a few days in advance. Helpful if you feel like putting together a little protest.

If he's coming to MN next month, that's EXCELLENT. Let him drag Kennedy down.

2. This isn't a dumb move.
It's a fundraiser for the rich. Bush probably won't be giving a public speech for Mark Kennedy anytime soon.

3. Only thing a less than rich person will get is a traffic jam
due to the backup to and from the airport to the fundraiser.

4. That's OK. There will be photos of him with Kennedy.
I hope (though doubt it will happen) there will be photos of Kennedy hugging him, like McCain did (eww!) The closer Kennedy ties himself to El Chimpo, the better.

5. All we have to do is dig up 2004 Kennedy election commercials
Edited on Wed Nov-16-05 07:10 PM by CatholicEdHead
Espically that last scene with him pratically holding hands with W and bragging about his 98% voting record with him (or pretty close to that number).

6. Ford Bell is holding a competing event
While Bush squeezes $10,000 out of each and every member of Minnesota's corporate elite, Ford Bell will be giving a free lunch to Minnesota's veterans.

Where do you think Bush will be more comfortable...with other millionaires, or with Minnesotans who fought for their country?

I'm not sure about Ford Bell's chances, but i give him points for his lunch. No one has been asked to do more with less than our nation's military...vets deserve a thank you.

8. From the FAQ's
"New members are restricted from starting new discussion topics. We require you to first post responses to a few existing discussion threads before you are given the privilege to do so. We wish we did not have to enforce this rule, but we have found it very helpful to keep disruptors off of our message board. Please do not ask what the minimum number is; we won't tell you, and it's not very high. New members are similarly restricted from using the private messaging function or recommending topics for the Greatest Page."

Welcome to DU and the MN forum. Check out our upcoming meetup on Nov 26.

:hi:

10. Lemme guess - they'll do roadblocks during rush hour again because
the Prince of Darkness wants to get to the toilet at 8:00AM and can't be late?!

Man, they did that once before (probably not for the toilet) and people were not happy...

Sigh. Who will he convince?

11. More than likley they will do that
It would be apparently too much work to fly Marine 1 into from MSP airport to whatever gated community in some suburb he is bound to end up at.
