Anyone else get a fund-raising letter from Hillary this week?
I got a fund-raising letter from Hillary in the mail yesterday. If she's hitting up dems in MN, that is proof to me she intends to run for pres in 08.

1. Not necessarily.
I've gotten fund raising letters from Clinton, Pelosi, Kennedy and Nelson this week. I think I got added to their list because I sent them letters/emails about issues over the last few months.

9. I think that all of us, who ever sent money to the DFL ended up
on a central mail (but not email) list.

And like others, I just tossed it whiteout opening. Really cannot afford to help anyone right now and if I did, it would be someone who really needs it, like McDermott (watched him on Fahrenheit 911 recently)

And Hillary Clinton sits on huge amount of money.

Would be nice if she could help other Democrats

2. Yes, but didn't open it. I got one from Kennedy, Kerry, Feingold,
and Byrd as well.

6. If I had the money,
I would be more likely to send it to Kennedy, Kerry, or even Feingold, than Hillary. At least Kennedy and Kerry, are working to SUPPORT the views of the people who elected them. Yes, I get emails from both Kennedy and Kerry all the time and I don't even live their state. Hillary only cares about getting elected President, by any means she can, and the hell with the people who voted for her (which I DID).

3. She must be just hitting up the rest of the country for money
She hasn't asked me for money and I have written to her and she has written back to me several times. She has my name, address, and phone number.

Keeping my fingers crossed that on this one, I DON'T hear from her.

Usually I would be happy to support Democrats in other districts. However, your choice to associate with the very divisive minority faction which calls itself the Democratic Leadership Council prevents me from being able to support you at this time.

I have found the rhetoric of the DLC to be divisive and counter to everything I understand as Democratic Party principles. It's not their position on issues that worries me, but their tagging those who disagree with them as "extremists" and other labels. These are people in their own party they are calling extreme.

Well Senator Clinton, people may disagree on any number of issues for any number of reasons. But the use of ad hominems to oppose those issues is not just counter-productive, it is damaging to the party. At a time when unity is our best strategy, I find it very worrisome that a minority faction of the party chooses divisive rhetoric, going to the extreme of publically airing of their disagreements with the chair of the party, Dr. Dean. These tactics are reprehensible. What is the DLC trying to accomplish? The division of the party? The driving out of all progressives? Do they honestly think that they will ever win a national election without progressives?

If I wanted a monolithic party where I didn't have to think about or discuss a diversity of positions, I would join the robotic, lying thugs in the Republican Party. Turning the Democratic Party into a clone of that is unacceptable to me. The Democrats will not survive any attempt to achieve that goal.

If you were to publically divorce yourself from the divisive and damaging rhetoric of the DLC I will reconsider my decision.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,

10. I'm holding off for now
Keeping my powder dry on the Democratic Losers Council thing.

I think she just showed up there, with several others, and gave a speech.

Let's see how this pans out.
