Petitions against Tom DeLay delivered today (pics)
Tired of Republican Majority Leader Tom DeLay's repeated legal and ethical scandals, a small group met at noon today in the parking lot outside the St. Paul office of Senator Coleman to deliver petitions with more than 9,000 signatures calling for the ouster of DeLay.

Coleman wasn't in the office but an assistant accepted the 600 sheets of paper, somewhat tentatively. I don't know about the others but I felt as welcome in Coleman's office as a bad case of the flu.

Most of us had come from work -- one of our guys was wearing a tie, another wore a blaze orange visibility vest. I hope it was an educational moment for the Republican staff to realize that liberals really do have jobs.

The Twin Cities event, replicated in some form or fashion in more than 170 other locations across the country, was organized by MoveOn Pac.

Gathered in the parking lot. "Spring House Cleaning - Fire DeLay!"

Outside his office. "Stop De-Laying - Kick Tom Out!!"

8. I think if we pressure our leaders they'll have to ask him to step down.
This little event was a tiny peice of a large effort.

Little by little, we make a difference. We're only strong if we work together.
