1. Since Ohio went 'Blue' perhaps they'll succumb again to "Go Blue!"
Six days until the Wolverines invade Columbus.

2. I got tickets!
The greatest rivalry and best game in America.

Bring on the slobber knockers, the speed burners, and hammer blocks.

5. This is one week methinks I will back you guys.
You know I am a knowN State fan. This year has been such a heartbreak. All I can hope for is that my home boy Drew Stanton goes in the first round of the NFL Draft. John L. is gone, which is a good start, but it cannot cover up the disappintment this year has brought.

I hope big Blue wins, because it just brings more good national attention to our state. And besides, I always thought Ohio State fans were kind of rough necks anyway.

Spartan says Go Blue!

6. Thanks for your support, maddog
I've had enough heartbreak these past few weeks -- first the Tigers and then Nancy. I really need a win out of this one!

7. Much as I hate to say it, sports is the one thng we have.
We have a town of winners. That is the Wings. That is the Tigers. That is the Pistons. That is you. That is me...I think. Our sports teams shed light on our hospitality, our heart, our inner joy. If tourism and leading sports events be our current leading industry, so be it. You see, I see a new era here.

Sure, a lot of those who play for our beloved teams are not from here. But dammit, the winners are borne from the top down. I truly believe that the more we show out in a non-auto victory mode will bode well for us in the long run.

OK, I have these wierd theories, but I know I am right. We are more than cars. Gov. Pretty Eyes knows this too, and she now has the bully pulpit to prove it. I have lived in other ploaces and seen the light, but I came home because this is my place. Now I have to find meaning, and that may be the promotion of where I came from.

8. You are the only MSU fan I know who wishes Michigan well
You are a good sport. My sister and her friends are all cheering for OSU.

As a WMU grad, I don't have a horse in Big Ten rankings, but as a taxpayer, I cheer for Michigan or MSU, depending on who's got the chance to win a bowl game or whatever.

9. Thanks Maddog!
I have a couple of MSU friends in Seattle who also root for UM. Very nice people.
