More Skinner facts
I found Nancy's fund raising numbers from her 2006 run. I also have the video of her interview on Waterford Community television done recently. It's interesting. In that interview she says that it will take $2-4 million to beat Joe. Yet last time she only raised $422,000 in over a year of effort. And she had no Democratic challenger in the primary, since John Ashcraft dropped out graciously, since Nancy had more more money, more endorsements, more everything basically.

So the question I pose is, if she could only raise $422,000 with all the support of Democrats, how would she possibly do any better this time with a strong progressive Democratic candidate like Gary Peters in the race? Even though Nancy has been trying to paint Gary as the "establishment" candidate, Gary has stong progressive credentials and Nancy saying it's so doesn't make it so. Just because the DCCC and many seasoned politicians in Oakland county support Gary, doesn't mean he won't do the things in Congress we need our representative to do. Gary will be a solid performer representing Democratic values in Congress.

To those of you that support Nancy, I urge you to ask her that question. She wouldn't answer Dave Woodward's, chair of the Oakland County Democratic Party, question about fund raising when he asked at the Royal Oak Democratic Club meeting recently, saying she wasn't focusing on fund raising at this time.

To confirm my numbers, you can go to http://www.campaignmoney.com/political/campaigns/nancy_ann_skinner.asp?cycle=06">Nancy Skinner 2006 fund raising

And please don't attack me for bringing this forth. Check it out for yourself. Please don't say it doesn't matter how much money a candidate raises. You know it does matter if you want to win. Nancy admits as much in the interview. She knows how much money it will take. The question for you to pose to yourself and to Nancy is, can she raise the funds necessary? The simple answer, I believe, is no, since she couldn't do it in 2006.

1. $400K in '06?
You mean the year Democrats (especially on the Internet) couldn't give fast enough.

Dude, that's horrible. I hate D-Trip, but thank God they moved into MI-9 and found Peters.

I know this is emotional for some. But that's all it is, emotion. I support labor, labor supports Peters.

Any questions?
