New cbs4 poll about Governor's race - hot off the presses
Edited on Mon Mar-06-06 05:17 PM by merbex
In a matchup with Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey and attorney Deval Patrick, Mihos, a Yarmouth businessman, pulls a solid 20% right out of the gate. Healey holds a slight lead with 35%. Patrick was second with 30%. 14% are undecided.

Substitute Attorney General Tom Reilly as the Democratic nominee, and he takes the lead with 36%, still within our margin of error. Healey is second with 31% followed by Mihos with 22%. 11% are undecided.

The poll was done by SurveyUSA more in depth results at link:

Debates and ad campaigns will play a big role (my commentary)

1. I agree with your take--debates, ad campaigns, and media swerve
The Herald will get in there and make their stink...talk radio, too.

2. And a good old fashioned grassroots push
How bad do we want it (corner office)?

Start talking to our friends and neighbors, it is going to be one voter at a time

4. This from bluemassgroup:
At the conclusion of Sunday’s seminars, my fellow Deval supporters and I got another not so surprising boost of confidence from the results of the annual North Andover Democratic Town Committee’s straw poll, the results of which were posted near the DCI's exit. Deval received 55% of votes out of a crowd that I was told was over one hundred strong. Reilly had apparently roped in 28% of the vote, and Chris Gabrieli had received 17%. GO DEVAL!

And the big surprise from that straw poll?

Sam Kelley crushed the filed of Lt Gov candidates

Sam Kelley received a whopping 52% of the vote with Andrea Silbert pulling in 34%, Tim Murray 13% and Deb Goldberg 1%.
