I think their is a world of difference

I copied this from another thread : I thought I'D give the other side ;sort of fair and balanced ya know !
By SUSAN McMILLAN Kennebec Journal

AUGUSTA - About 30 people planned to spend a second night in Capitol Park on Sunday as Occupy Augusta settled in for an indefinite stay.

...snip
People organizing events in the park are supposed to apply for a free permit, said Capitol Police Chief Russell Gauvin.
...snip

McCarrier said the demonstrators decided not to obtain a permit as a statement of their rights to free speech and peaceable assembly, especially on public land.

Well - isn't that special. I guess the law only applies to other people, right? Talk about the "Terminally Self-Important."

As for the LEO's, the same privilege should be extended to any other group wishing to use the park. Right? Like Tea Partiers, or folks selling crafts or household items from tables, or people setting up to collect petition signatures.

After all, if it's okay for one group, why not another?
well fish face there is a hell of a difference between a craft fair and free speech and the right to assemble. but than your thought process always boils down to the bottom line
or dollars and senseless!
oops did I mean that =ya bet I DID! WOULD I CARE IF ANOTHER POLITICAL GROUP DID THIS ? I BELIEVE THE TEA PARTY DEMONSTRATED IN AUGUSTA (WASN'T IT MORE OR LESS AN ORCHESTRATED PHOTO OP!
HMM GOTCHA YA WINDBAG!
