the dumbing down of Maine

Well the right got everything they voted for! Getting cheap insurance across state lines!(wait till they find out how much it doesn't cover)
Cutting medicare by 30,000-50,000 people;(of course they'll go to the emergency room and our costs will skyrocket)
Cutting ALL funding to PUBLIC BROADCASTING(FAT RAY AND J.J.)(NOW THATS A PAIR OF NOBODY'S)a few commercial station will luv that!(no more sesame street)
yup it's called getting more profit out to businesses so they can streamline their employees and improve the profit margin!
Pretty hard to hide behind job creation when all we see is job destruction!
we thought Milty knocket was a major leadership blunder; wait till the bill rolls in on the medicare cuts!(emergency room walk ins will be up by 100%) $200-$400 a patient = at least 10 million! the cut saved a million! thats the way repukes always figure!
look at the price tag for Iraq and afhganistand- 200 times their estimate and growing!
just now MacCain said on national t.v they water boarded one prisoner 183 times and he gave the wrong answers every time-he said the radical right has it all wrong! water boarding failed!!
that means you huff and puff!

1. With MPBN zeroed out..
...there's no 'Maine Things Considered'. That leaves the PressHerald cheerleading squad, and the mouth-breathers on 560 AM to deliver the 'news'.

2. Been searching our "press"
I've been searching all weekend to find even a slight list of the details of this insurance bill. They have just thrown around a few cookie cutter phrases. My god, can't anyone do any reporting on who, when, where, why, etc. We actually have no goddamn idea what's in this and the people just yawn. I do know the people up north might just as well pick out their burial plots because they will have no health care facilities within 2 years (as pointed out by John Martin).

DiggRedditTumblrPermalink.ANOTHER weekend, another grass-roots demonstration starring Real Americans who are mad as hell and want to take back their country from you-know-who. Last Sunday the site was Lower Manhattan, where they jeered the “ground zero mosque.” This weekend, the scene shifted to Washington, where the avatars of oppressed white Tea Party America, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin, were slated to “reclaim the civil rights movement” (Beck’s words) on the same spot where the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. had his dream exactly 47 years earlier.

Vive la révolution!

There’s just one element missing from these snapshots of America’s ostensibly spontaneous and leaderless populist uprising: the sugar daddies who are bankrolling it, and have been doing so since well before the “death panel” warm-up acts of last summer. Three heavy hitters rule. You’ve heard of one of them, Rupert Murdoch. The other two, the brothers David and Charles Koch, are even richer, with a combined wealth exceeded only by that of Bill Gates and Warren Buffett among Americans. But even those carrying the Kochs’ banner may not know who these brothers are.

THE FREEDOM GROUP WAS HEADED BY ARMEY AT ONE TIME AND THEIR SOUL PURPOSE WAS TO FUND AND ENLARGE THE TEA PARTY TO BE UTILIZED BY THE RIGHT
