4. Chellie vs. Charlie
The bond passes.

The big question of the night: How many people signed up for the Taxpayer Bill of Goods?

5. In my area

many were signing the petitions where I voted. They have had people in this area off and on for a week with petitions.

6. I'm sure a lot of people walked in and voted for the bond
and then on the way out signed a petition against taxes.

I wish people would at least be consistent on the issue.

7. Cote comes in second?
I'm surprised that he finished so high in the standings and flat out amazed that Strimling came in FOURTH! What the heck happened in that campaign? This is a serious dent in Dennis Bailey's reputation, and IMO seriously damages any hopes Strimling might have of taking the Blaine House in two years.

8. What was so great about Strimling?

I'd never heard of the guy before this race. His light bulb nonsense was enough to show me where his priorities are. Maine simply doesn't have to be a leader in phasing out the incandescent light bulb. I know our state motto, but we seem to get burned on a lot of these cutting edge plans (see Dirigo Health.)
