this is a big deal

Texas now has more fortune 500 corporate offices based there than New York. this will probably result in many jobs leaving the northeast and heading south. Of course Maine
will probably hurt even more.
one thing many forget is that in the sixties when the "Jim Crow " laws were over repealed
many of the southern democrats jumped to the republican party. they now control a large
political block. they are powerful enough swing elections,to set agendas and their bond is strong.
they have never forgotten the term "yankee",carpet bagger,or any other by gone slang.
the higher up the social scale you go the more evident this seems to be.
corporations have no pulse and no loyalty. their purpose is to make money. and they are ruthless while doing so;as you are finding out at the gas pumps.
