3. BBC not so close but the Highlands would be a short cab ride from downtown.

If you check out maps.google.com and look for where Broadway (heading East) ends at Baxter and look south along Baxter/Bardstown Rd., the area along Bardstown Rd. all the way to where it intersects with Taylorsville Rd. is the hot spots for bars/restaurants in the Highlands area.

There are also tons of great restaurants in the Clifton area (which is Frankfort Ave. south of Mellwood Ave. and running for a mile or so).

If UofL and UK make it past this week's NCAA tourney play, expect bars with TVs to be super-duper extra crowded. :)

Also, check out the following websites for things to do in town that weekend:

5. Neither of the two that I mentioned above
are in the downtown area. Best bet - go to 4th street and hang a left - should be a few places that offer good beer & food.

6. Fourth Street *LIVE*! (I hate that freakin' name) is overrated
Who wants to pay $5 for a Bud Light?

Head out to the Highlands for the best of Louisville's nightlife. :)

7. a cab fare or 2 will not kill me.
not a huge late night partier, tho. do have to have good beer, and i wouldn't drink a bud light if you paid me $5.

8. Is Lynn's Paradise Cafe still a hot spot?
I remember Lynn when she worked at Alfalfa Restaurant in Lexington. She's a good gal. Very talented.
