Who is nervous?
Anyone nervous about their chosen candidates pulling out victories tomorrow?
The 1st District race seems pretty close, or at least that's the vibe I get from the media, but I can't tell who has the the big mo. What does everyone think?
I voted absentee for Braley but certainly have no idea how things are going to turn out tomorrow night.

1. Elections are always a source of anxiety for me now.
It is just the primary but still, how many times can you get stomped on before you cringe just seeing the foot coming?

2. I can't wait until tomorrow
I personally can't wait until tomorrow. We have three decent candidates and then one candidate who is out there trying to grab for support. It will be an interesting night tomorrow night, but hopefully in the end we will have a united front on June 7th. Just pray that we don't have to go to convention.

3. I don't know about nervous...
But anxious, yes. I'd really like to see our party have the BEST candidates going into the general, and while I could/would will support whoever our party puts up, I think there are stand outs in the races.

I will be voting Culver. I think he has the best all-around appeal to our Democratic Base, and should be able to pull some independents as well. His positions on renewable energy and his support for a free year of college tuition are things I can stand behind proudly. I am really not against his pro-death penalty views (in limited circumstances), and I like Patty Judge.

I am in the 2nd District, so I don't have a primary for the Congressional race, but if I were in the 1st I would go with Braley.

I am more and more confident that those two are our best shot at being our big winners this fall.

4. Same here -- more anxious than nervous...
...but a bit nervous as well. I've been volunteering for Culver/Judge in the past few days, and my feelings waver from confident to scared with regard to that election.

I'm currently registered in the 2nd District so I could be part of the caucus and conventions, but my heart is in the 5th District, especially in the Congressional race. I'm having my mother, someone who normally wouldn't vote in a primary, cast a vote in my absence for Joyce Schulte. I know that Joyce doesn't stand much of a chance against Kooky King, but Bob Chambers probably wouldn't stand a chance either, and I like Schulte and her ideas much more so than I like Chambers and his.

5. Excited but not neccesarily nervous
In the First District, I am thinking an upset may be brewing. And possibly the same in the Governor's race. Just thinking out loud, so to speak. I firmly believe Gluba will carry the Quad-Cities and that may well put him over the top. If that happens, Braley may kick himself for not getting here more often. See, you can't send a boy to do man's work, and Braley often sent in some other guy besides himself. And as far as the Gubanatorial race, Fallon seems to be building momentum. It may be too little too late, but it may earn him a few more votes and get him some sort of position in a Culver led state. Nussle must be defeated no matter what.

6. I am not in the first district but close to it - Question
How will the Dems handle the constant hammering on immigration by whichever idiot the regressive party picks. I have seen a few commercials on QC tv stations and I am already sick of hearing "illegal immigrants" and "I'll cut taxes". That is all those clowns have. And it looks like their nominee is going to put up a 700 mile high fence while totally cutting any taxes.
But these guys seem to be relentless and loaded. Hope the Dem nominee can turn it back to real issues. Of course marriage and burning the flag will be the next distraction.

7. Not nervous - excited!
I don't know how either race will turn out, but Friday night Culver look GREAT! And the news from the Register only made me feel better. Braley had LOTS of support in and around the parade (of course it was in Waterloo, so he'd better have support). So if only Black Hawk County were voting he'd be a shoe-in! I'm assuming that Gluba and Dickinson both have the same loyalty in their respective counties as well. The First District race is one I have NO IDEA on. and THAT is exciting! :bounce:

10. I only feel relief
I just want it to be over. I'm sick of the tug-of-war between my friends and the emotions running so high. I'm tired of folks with green buttons on one side of the room and folks with white buttons on the other. What it all boils down to is simple disappointment. I'm sorry the candidates felt the need to drag us all down.

13. Pins! Needles!
Yesterday I was fine, but tonight is another story. Gonna head over to the Starlite for the Fallon victory party and watch the results roll in.
