The 4th field hearing for the Commission on No Child Left Behind will be held then and there. The title for this one is "Successful Interventions: Healping Schools Achieve Academic Success." According to the Commission, "This hearing will examine the impact of NCLB's requirements on schools that have not made State standards. In addition, the hearing will highlight what interventions and means are necessary and successful in helping a struggling school achieve academically."

The exact location and time of this hearing has not been announced yet -- the site says it will be one week prior to its date. (Why so close? Do they not want people to show up?)

The work being done by this commission will greatly influence the re-writing of NCLB -- if it is changed at all.
