I'll be there with my 82-year-old dad, my husband and my 23-year-old son. I'm sure I'll be tearing up at some point.

2. So many people hoping... so close to home...

Its funny that when I lived in Chicago, I never had the opportunity to check anything like this out. Now I live in Indiana, and Obama will be speaking at a park that is down the street from my house. Part of me feels dread that the same political speech of hope and promise will draw so many people to believe that change is coming, but part of me is amazed and awed that so many people thirst for something that can change their worlds, their lives, the lives for their children, and how their hope gets placed in one person, and how one person (an ideal, a certain agenda, a certain trusting smile), can mobilize so many. No matter what the person, or the cause, or the event, I think it is amazing that so many people this year are getting involved. It is wonderful to experience in my lifetime.
