To SJR007? I couldn't help but notice that the posts asking DUers to contact the Judiciary Committee about this Resolution got very little action. Should I feel disappointed that 253 Duers viewed the posts and only a total of 5 acknowledged it or took action? It makes me wonder if this is a gauge for the boundaries of how "progressive" Indiana Duers really are.
Did you respond to the posts politically? OBTW a ? means inquiry, interrogative, in other words I'd like an answer not disclaimer. And if you are going to use " you might want to be quoting something. I never used the words you have in quotation marks. You may have wanted to used "indifferent" but that really doesn't mean "don't care".
3. DU is just a discussion board concerned with national partisan politics
while Hoosier DUers are in the trenches fighting the good fight, but not necessarily as partisans, but as citizen activists involved in causes ranging from living wage campaign to antiwar activities.
Indiana Equality and the Stop the Amendment group have been very active in fighting the now dead anti-marriage amendment.
GLBT issues aren't on the "fighting the good fight" list. The "anti-marriage amendment" isn't dead. We are counting on Rep. Pelath to keep it from a vote in the House. My problem with that he is a SPONSOR for SJR 007! How can we count on him to not bring it up in committee when he supports the amendment? Indiana Equality's website actually asks us to THANK Rep. Pelath for "carefully and skillfully taken on the burden of dealing with SJR-7" I will be calling Rep. Pelath yet I am not in his district. The reason for my post was to see if Indiana Duers could explain why so few took action or if they did acknowledge their support. Over 50 have read the post an none have replied that they in fact did act but didn't post about it. So I guess I got my answer. Indifferent? YES.
Love it or leave it. Not, my country, my state. Not too proud of it but will fight to change it. Seems like I may have already. Glad to hear you will post all of your activities though may be TMI. Just asked about ACTIVISM not activity BTW.
