Help, is there a Dem place to register a domain name
For our local party. I'm getting ready to register a domain name for our local party and I would like to use a Democratic business. You know, shop blue and all. I've only done this once before and there are so many places to go. Does the party recommend anyone that you guys know of? Does anyone have any advice on a good all-in-once place that allows professional looking design at a decent price?

Any and all help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Debbie

I can't find anyone listed as left or right, but verisign is a really slimey company. Go Daddy has always been good for me. I have even registered my Democratic club name with them.

2. Thank you...
It's wierd cause' I was kind of looking a godaddy.com and thought they looked pretty good. I'll keep them in mind and if anyone finds anything out let me know. I'm working on our DFA site through register.com that our hostess got for us and I'd really like to try something different.

Thanks so much! I love this place.

3. I use Go Daddy
I really like them. I was with Bravenet for a couple of years, they were so-so. Go Daddy is really helpful & responsive if there's a problem. I highly recommend them.I registered my Domain name for 5 years, got hosting for a year & a large E-mail account for a year for under $100.00.

4. Cool,
I think we're going with them. I just e-mailed my partner in crime and sent her some info on them. I'll have to talk to our chairman but I think he'll like it cause' he won't have to pay a webmaster. We can do this with volunteers! and they have excellent stuff for setting up a catalog to sell Dem stuff. What about fund raising? Have you done anything like that? I notice on the cataloging option you can get all the major credit cards and paypal. Can you have a link just for donations? I've got some more reading to do!

5. Yeah those are extra, shopping carts etc.
& the 128 bit encryption for security. I can't speak about those because I haven't used them. If they work as well as the stuff I do use I think you'll be happy. If you need some help building the site or setting it up let me know. I know a little bit about it.

I will. We hope to have it up and running before the end of May. I'll post here if I need some help and critiques. I did our DFA site http://www.michianafordemocracy.org through register.com. It's been a real learning experience. I'm not very happy with some of their formatting options and their templates really suck. I'm ordering a CD from godaddy.com with their deluxe webpage software. The previews look pretty good. It's only 14.95 so no great loss if it isn't what I hope. I'll post our link here when we have a "test" version ready.

Thank you again for your suggstions. I really appreciate it.
