Some cops stop more minorities-DuPage police forces report traffic finding

Here's a news flash (not):

"About two-thirds of police departments in DuPage County stopped a disproportionately larger number of minority drivers at traffic stops in 2004, according to data collected under a new state law."<snip>

Then there's this particularly good quote: " About 37 percent of the people stopped by DuPage County Forest Preserve District police were non-white, compared to a countywide non-white population of almost 19 percent. But Police Chief Tom Wakolbinger said it's unfair to consider the countywide average population to be the district's constituency because more minorities use the forest preserves."
