3. What a game!
Ohio State never quit, even when they trailed by 12. Congratulations to the scrappy Buckeyes and also to the Illini for being the best team in the land no matter what. I believe a game like this may help them in the NCAA'S. Sudden thought, what if the Illini and the Buckeyes meet in the Big 10 tourney next week? It could happen. The OSU ban on postseason does not apply to the Big 10 tournament, just NCAA and NIT.

4. WHAT? The Illini lost?????
Was this their first loss? I haven't been paying attention the last week or so. I started to watch the game earlier but it seemed like UIUC was gonna win yet again so I turned it off. Damn.

6. Yeah, I think it's good for them to lose
They aren't invincible and I think it prepares them to play against the other teams. Also, they won't have such a big target on their backs now. Teams won't be as hyped up as they were before.

7. This loss is the only one I would accept....
This was the last game Illinois could lose without losing anything big---other than the winning streak.

Weber said one of their goals was to win the Big 10 championship outright. They did. Going undefeated, while nice, is unnecessary. Unless Kansas or Kentucky gets the Midwest #1 seed. Then I'll be hacked off.

But we go to Chicago next weekend. We play well and win out the rest of the season.

Just my two cents. The only thing I like better than politics---college basketball. And this time of year is the best! I can't wait til NCAA tourney games start up....
