Why, or why not?

1. more
many lingering problems that just were not being addressed. i think pat quinn is a sacrificial lamb. nobody seems to even be thinking that he would be elected in his own right. i appreciate that we needed to do something to balance that budget, but i hope that pat will be pouring a little sunshine on how it got so bloated.

3. I've always admired Pat Quinn!
So far, he seems to be 'doing an Obama' (a new phrase I just heard today) by saying that the need to fix it MUST take priority over lengthy inquiries into how the mess came to be, so to speak. Not ruling out those inquiries, just putting them into their proper place in line.

So far, Pat's actions as Governor receives a big  from me.

4. I don't know about that.
He has an ethics commission going. I don't think commissions do any good. They just talk things to death.

I will wait and see.

5. Pat's always been big on ethics reform.
The commission may well do what you predict, but there's not terribly much that he can do himself to strengthen ethics laws. Even if the commission doesn't succeed, that in no way detracts from Pat's sincere desire to see genuine ethics reform.

6. I have noticed that Blagojevich's more vocal supporters have been awfully quiet on here recently.
I still think some of these guys had material reasons for supporting him to the end.
