Stephanie Miller show moving to mornings on 850 WCPT
New line looks like this:

New Line-Up Effective 12/11/06
New Line-Up Effective 12/11/06
Chicago (11/29/2006 07:46 PM)

Starting December 11th we have a new line up featuring:

The Bill Press Show: (Sign-on to 8:00am) Bill's live, topical program from Washington DC will continue in its current time period.

The Stephanie Miller Show: (8:00am - 11:00am) Stephanie is no stranger to Chicago radio, hosting mornings on WCKG in the late 1980's. She has also been doing a weekly program on WCPT since the station signed-on. Stephanie is the daughter of former U.S. Congressman, William Miller, who was Barry Goldwater's vice Presidential nominee in the 1964 Presidential Election. In Stephanie's case, the apple fell very far from the tree!

The Ed Schultz Show: (11:00am - 2:00pm) Ed has been one of the stalwarts of the Progressive Talk format. His show is moving to this time slot and in order for WCPT listeners to continue to call with their opinions on-air, we're moving with him.

The Al Franken Show: (2:00pm - 5:00pm) WCPT shifts Al Franken's guest-intensive show to afternoons. Nobody gets better guests or offers more insight than Al.

The Randi Rhodes Show: (5:00pm - sign-off) Randi takes no prisoners and her brash, funny, and intelligent program will continue in its current time period.

4. Dump Al
Serioulsy why tape delay 2 shows when im sure more people would rather hear Randi over Al.

Or hell I'd be happy to do a local drive time radio show =)

5. Al will be leaving soon, most likely.
His Senate campaign will begin soon, that is why they moved Ed into his slot. I like Al's show, myself. More for his guests than him.

7. Maybe Tom Hartman will get Al's slot
Or maybe they can rearrange the whole lineup to get more shows live. We sorely need a 25 hour station in a town as large and as liberal as greater Chicago.

6. Just what I wanted
But, Bill Press is the most boring show ever and he is on Sirius at the same time in the morning and repeated in the evening before the SM Show. WCPT and Air America can do better than Bill Press. Ed Schultz is Ok and serves a pretty good target audience. I like the funny stuff you get from Al Franken and Stephanie Miller and sometimes Randy Rhodes. Tom Hartman needs more than 1 hour on Sirius and we need more of him in Chicago too. Jerry Springer was Ok. I am glad he did his part.
