1. don't know about polls BUT
I have worked on every campaign to unseat do nothin Denny since the day he was first appointed. This is the first time he has run commercials. He is spending a ton of buck on very expensive mailers. He has never done any of this in the past to my knowledge. John is doing a great job even if John does not win he will deserve much credit for keeping Denny spending money and time on his own district.

2. My DS threw up on his mailer, LOL.
He's 2.5, and we usually reserve the premium junk mail for him to play with, err destroy. I love knowing where my DS stands on hastert's issues, LOL.

3. Well, our lawn is one of the few in the area with his sign.
people around here (elburn/geneva) seem to too often be brain dead-Jesus saves types.

4. Laesch
He's been on Ed Schultz twice in the last week or so but everytime Ed asks him about polls he says he doesn't have any #'s. I assume that's a bad sign. From everything I hear (I live in Chicago but work in Aurora) Hastert is ahead but not even close to where his #'s have been in the past.

5. I'm in St. Charles and...
Jabba the Hutt's signs are everywhere with only an occasional Laesch sign (including the one in my front yard). I would say that doesn't bode well.

6. found this about poll numbers & laesch (ten points down)
"In the wake of the scandal, a poll of likely voters in the 14th District conducted by Constituent Dynamics found Hastert leading by a comfortable 10 points -- but with only 52 percent support to Laesch's 42 percent."

7. This poll was taken oct. 8-10
and is the only poll I have seen. There are new Hastert signs going up everywhere this week-end and it is sort of late so maybe they are concerned.

10. I work...
I work with the fellow who planted the Laesch sign accross the street from the Reagan house, as well as the two who own the home.

Where are Laesch supporters meeting up at, if you know?

won by a slim margin. I just don't know who to call it for. Of course, it's gotta be John!!!

12. Kane County
Reports of precints staying open until 10pm in Kane County per WGN because polls opened very late because of machine mistakes. These conviently happened in Kane County's Democratic precints.

13. I'm in Elgin, and things seemed OK at my polling place.
I've been here for four elections, and it's the first time I ever stood in line. I vote at about the same time of day each time, so this is unusual. For what it's worth, the crowd "looked" very BLUE.
