NANCY SKINNER needs your vote in the DFA poll
Hey, all you folks from Illinois. If you haven't voted yet in the DFA poll, please vote for Nancy Skinner by end of day tomorrow. She is in second place and the top 5 vote getters will be in a runoff vote on MONDAY from 9-5 p.m. (ET, I believe) only. This is huge for the top vote-getter on Monday, as it could add $100,000 to his or her campaign coffers.

Nancy is running for Rep Joe Knollenberg's seat in Michigan's 9th District. You may be familiar with her from her old syndicated talk show from WLS or from her run in the primary against Barak Obama (bad timing on her part, I guess). She's a great candidate.

Read about Nancy at: www.skinnerforcongress.com

Vote at:

http://tools.democracyforamerica.com/housevote/index.php?refid=8

You can vote once from each e-mail address.

Thanks, all you DUers. Let's get Joe Knollenberg out and Nancy Skinner in -- November starts now!

2. Wow -- that was fast!
Guess I should have posted in this forum before. I'll post a reminder on Sunday and Monday.

Thanks!

3. There are also three Illinois candidates on the ballot,
including Dr. David Gill, in my home district (IL-15). He's an amazing guy: an ER physician with a totally progressive agenda. Tough choices, to be sure. The important thing is for everyone to participate...

4. Absolutely, but I see that none of the Illinois candidates are
in the top 15. So, hopefully, you can give Nancy your vote in the runoff on Monday.

Thanks!

5. Or mount a national email campaign to put Dr. Gill in the top five.
I'm kidding, but your assumptions regarding who is most deserving were what originally amused me. Nancy is a fine candidate, and I wish her well, but asking people to support her just because she's already in the top five is a little misguided. It is, in fact, theoretically possible that none of the current front runners would be in the top five twenty-four hours from now. For example, watch for a push from the Clarkies nationwide for another deserving candidate, Eric Massa in NY. People should vote their conscience, regardless of who the front runners are this hour...

6. I wasn't using that as justification for her being most deserving
of a vote right now. That's not why I was asking for support. I'm asking for support on Monday should she remain in the top 5 and should anyone's own favorite not be in the top 5. Sorry for any misunderstanding. I say vote your conscience now, but once Monday comes, don't not vote because your favorite didn't make the runoff.

8. No problem. I'm sorry I wasn't clearer!
Good luck to everyone. We have some great candidates around the country and I'd like to see them all elected!

13. Because Nancy used to have a show from Chicago
and has a lot of name recognition there. Voting in the DFA poll can be done by anyone for anyone, not necessarily someone in your own state or district. If Nancy has remained in the top 5, which I believe she has, I hope people from Illinois will vote for her on Monday in the runoff.
