Going down Jackson Blvd. right past my window. Its enormious!!!!

Too bad the MSM isn't reporting one word on it. I'd be shocked if there's a mention in the Tribune (the bastards) tomorrow morning.

1. That's what that was....
I was at lunch today on Financial between Jackson and Van Buren. I saw all the cops and heard a helicopter.

I did hear about this morning on NPR.

3. I saw four buses loading in Aurora this morning.
I wondered where they were heading so early.

4. Mr. Wonderful and I marched in that protest today and
Channel 5, Channel 7, the Trib, the Sun Times and the Chicago PD got the numbers completely wrong.

There were far more people than 75,000-100,000. I'm not very good at estimating crowds but I'd put the numbers closer to 200,000 to 300,000.

We joined the march at Ashland Ave & Madison at approximately 12:30 pm. We didn't get to Federal Plaza until 4:00 pm. It was quite enjoyable. There was absolutely no bother that we saw, just tons and tons of people with their families, babies in strollers, toddlers and even people that brought their dogs.

My husband was an "illegal" until we got married in 1980. We didn't have to go and march today, but we did because we remember what it's like. There was one poster today that really got me. A boy, probably about 10-11 years old had written on it, "I'm not an alien, I'm a human being". Truer words...

The vast majority of "illegals" in this country are very, very good people. They came to America for the same reasons my ancestors did. To get a better life for themselves and their children. Why should they be punished for that? Is it because the majority of them are from Latin America and not from Europe?

6. No
it's because employers exploit them to drive wages down and avoid hiring union members. The use of undocumented workers in the meat industry is just one of several reasons--all related to the exploitation of people or animals--that I've given up meat permanently.

I don't think it's racist to ask that employers pay a living wage.
