Is Topinka really that popular?
Okay I was at the gym doing some therapy today and they showed Topinka for a couple of seconds on the news. One guy who I know voted for the chimp in 04 swore at the tv and walked out.
I also heard two people in the locker room say that they wont vote for her cause shes pro choice. Any how I was wondering if Topinka is as really popular with the voters as the media claims? Is anyone else noticing this or do I need to cut back on my meds.:D

1. judy is not popular
with the ultra right wing of the republican party. she opted out of the fight between the ultras and rest of the republican leadership during the ryan senate melt down. she more or less walked away and let the ultras sink the party this last election. judy`s always been a middle of the road republican but this campaign she needs to pick up the ultras to have a chance to win. she may do this but she will offend the very people who have backed her thru the years. she is quite popular with both republican and democratic voters..in fact i voted for her and my republican state rep..well no one ran against him...

2. I suspect she's pretty popular with moderates and the far right
will vote for her any way even though they dislike her stand on pro-choice. WHat can they do...vote for a Democrat if they don't like her?

3. No, she isn't.

After being a statewide official for two terms she was re-elected for a third term as Treasurer by a slim margin. She has a lot of baggage. She would have been defeated if some of the party leadership had given full support to Tom Dart, who deserved better than what the party did to him.

4. I think she lost the moderates and swing
with her cop-out with Birkett. And as she is not a good doormat female repuke, I don't think she'll make it out of the primaries.
