It's a film about the 2000 and 2004 election frauds, and also about Cynthia McKinney. The director takes the AJC to task and the AJC admits that they mislabeled her about the 9/11 comments she made.

The AJC has always been after her. From the article:

That's more about the AJC's agenda (its white Republican staff will attest!) than anything else, nothing to do with her great work.

She is an amazing woman. She has rallied a base of antiwar, proworker, propeace, global constituency like nothing I've ever seen before.

But it seems that she can't get in the media unless the media is picking up some personal flaw of hers, some personal flair (like misinterpreting a 9/11 comment or the cop non-incident or refusing to show up to debates, like most incumbents do in their own primary debates).

For once I'd like to see the news show one of her speeches on the TRUTH act which requires American companies to reveal all about their workers in foreign countries, or maybe an antiwar speech of hers. That's the beauty of her. And I've seen her speak 3 times, and have met her once. She is a gem. We should keep her.


Don't you know its customary for incumbents not to show up to primary debates? It's actually a tactical thing.

7. With a heavy heart I say this...

I've always been McKinney's biggest fan. She is my congresswoman. But now reality has set in: I don't know who is more to blame, McKinney or Vernon Jones, but I look around this area and realize that this will be my last purchase of property in Dekalb county. I'm not pleased with the way this area is kept up. McKinney is caught up in so much drama that nothing seems to get done around here. I need someone in there who will fight for my issues!

... that the current state of DeKalb County has more to do with the Georgia legislature than it does with Cynthia McKinney. She's not my representative. I'm stuck with a DINO (Jim Marshall). I know at some point each month or from time to time all of us have had to balance our bank accounts. Now, if the discrepancy is $9 dollars, we might just ignore it, figuring we made a small error somewhere. If it were $90 short, most of us would at least take time to recalculate and discover the error and call the bank. If the statement is $900 off, we will probably be down at the bank visiting the manager. If our account were missing $9,000 we would be on the phone to our lawyer. At $90,000 it would probably mean we had been working at Enron or invested in some very bad stock.

If $900,000 were missing from an account, there would probably be a call to accountants, the IRS and our creditors before long, or else we might be a CEO for a large corporation or stock market executive who lost a bonus. When $9,000,000 shows up missing, that usually means contract overruns or fraud, and a government audit is inevitable.

A Congressional committee might look into an unaccounted expenditure of $90 million and we would read about it in the New York Times. When $900 million goes missing, corporations collapse, mergers are cancelled, contracts are terminated, inspector generals are appointed, contractors are sometimes banned or fined, charges are brought to court, and people usually begin to notice.

I point all this out to ask what should happen when we find out that $9 BILLION is discovered by an official investigation to be unaccounted for in our contracting accounts for the reconstruction of Iraq, relating to one corporation, Halliburton and oil revenues? Apparently this administration thinks very little should happen, because there has been no further investigation, appointment of a special inspector, a charge against a person responsible, or any penalty or ban on that corporation, which continues to make massive profits from privatization contracts with the US military, despite evidence of overcharging, minimal accountability for funds, incompetence, and abuses of international and civil rights.

She is a great leader. Not perfect -- e.g. the security incident -- but still a great leader.

One of her finest moments was standing up to the Kaolin lobby and representing those whose lives were damaged by the mines and their business practices.

She was right about 9/11 too. People at the NSA, FBI, FAA, CIA knew it was coming. So did the White House.

A Republican congressman (Curt Weldon, PA 7th) has publicly praised an anti-Bush video. And not just any anti-Bush video, but the one by BYU physics professor Steven E. Jones which accuses the Bush administration of deliberately allowing 9/11 to happen and placing explosives in the three tallest World Trade Center buildings to make sure that they would be totally destroyed on 9/11.
