1. Equal Rights Amendment RALLY IN TALLY !
Our Equal Rights Alliance is "celebrating" (ahem)
TEN YEARS OF the Florida House just saying, "NO" to
a Hearing of the ERA bills for the past 10 years!
FL Senate heard it twice, passed it out of committee twice,
BIPARTISAN, 8-3!! No bill ever has FORTY-NINE COSPONSORS
(both parties, men and women) but doesn't get a HEARING!

This year, SCR 180 (Sen. Nan Rich) and HCR 8003 (Rep. Lori
Berman) decided ENUF is ENUF. Waiting around for the FL
Republican Leadership to decide HO-HUM whether WOMEN SHOULD
ACTUALLY BE NAMED IN THE CONTRACT WITH THEIR NATION ALONGSIDE
MEN (via ERA), these Bill Sponsors are throwing a party-rally,
press conference for the 300 000 supporters of Florida's
ratification of the ERA ! Huge support in Florida newspapers,
7 Counties4ERA, 326 major organizations, 88% of constituents
do not dent the macho armor-steel jockstraps of Sen. Pres.
Haridopolos OR Speaker Cannon. Nothing THERE at the other end
for the quality of life for their wives, daughters, sisters or
mothers!

Their separate public pronouncements say it all: "Won't
allow a hearing. ERA will 'hurt' business"! And, just
HOW is that? Since the GDP will likely climb up to 9% when
gender-equal treatment is secured via ERA. And state revenues
go up. Costs for court cases, food stamps, Medicaid, and
Public Assistance will go DOWN. That's Scandinavia's outcome!
So, tell us again that ERA 'hurts' business? Maybe they don't
notice that Big Business, Big Moneymakers are doing JUST FINE?
The public, however, Not So Much!

See us at www.2PassERA.org for the ACTUAL FACTS, and who we
are, etc.
BUT do go meet up at our big hooha Tuesday next week:
October 18, 5 pm, at the front of the OLD Capitol, facing
Appalachee Pkwy! Talk to likeminded legislators--male and
female, Republican and Dem. You WON'T NEED signs. Just follow
the hullabaloooooo.

[email protected] to find out which 7 states
are filing ERA ratification bills. OH, and then call: 407
623-5740 (Cannon) AND 321 752-3131 (Haridop) to tell them they
should turn their interest to the aggrieved WOMEN, and HOLD
ERA HEARINGS, Up or Down. JUST DO IT IN JANUARY!
