Since 2000, FL has been dominated by the Republicans in the cabinet and legislature. We MIGHT win the executive branch because Rick Scott is a flawed candidate. We SERIOUSLY need someone who can build the FDP.

We need to focus on building from the school boards up. School boards are non-partisan races. The party needs to focus on the school boards and then move the best board members into legislative races. 25 years ago Republicans focused on school board races across the state. Guess what? They built a "bench" and got candidates elected in local races.

I don't know what Karen Thurman is thinking but the reality is that there will likely be LESS Dems in the legislature next month than now and that is unacceptable. I don't care if she delivered Florida to Obama. It's time to take the legislature and the executive branch. There is a real possibility that we won't have a member on the cabinet, we'll be shut out of the executive branch, and be a minority in the legislative branch. I want Thurman's head on a platter. She'd probably laugh at this post, but she needs to be held accountable!

I want to build a Democratic machine as powerful as ones in California, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and other places around the nation. There is no reason why Dems should be so outnumbered at the state level. None at all.

The national Democratic party needs to look at Florida and see that it is missing a golden opportunity to take over the 4th largest (soon the 3rd largest) state in the nation. We need help from them as well.

2. You ain't kidding! Karen Thurman even introduced Charlie JUSTICE as Charlie CRIST--at a Meek rally!
It was an absolute facepalm moment, as she did the introduction for a "great man, our candidate for Congress, Charlie CRIST--oops, er, I mean Charlie Justice." This was at the rally for Kendrick Meek in St. Petersburg, the one Bill Clinton attended...yeesh.

4. It'll never happen.
The FDP hates progressives, and will happily be FLGOP lapdogs in order to keep the progressives out.
