Repub Gov's Association behind "Alex Sinks Florida" ads running constantly on TV

PALM HARBOR - Democrat Alex Sink is taking heat from the right, jabbed by a group that lists an unusual address on its new TV ad.

The 15-second commercial recalls layoffs on Sink's watch as a banking executive, and labels her "a financial disaster."

The source? Neither Bill McCollum nor Rick Scott, the Republicans running for Governor.

A group named Florida's Future Fund takes credit. It lists in the fine print an address on Wexford Drive -- an unassuming Palm Harbor neighborhood.

The ad's home is a baby blue house with a Jeep out front and two rain barrels near the garage door. It's home to a disabled former phone company worker who concedes it's a front.

This is legal, to be clear. The ad's buyers desire a Florida address and recruited a GOP loyalist to lend their address to the cause.

Of note, Rupert the Sleezy One has donated a million bucks to the Repub Gov Association to help fund these ads.

2. I'm hoping Scott beats McCollum, but that's looking unlikely, as Bill's newest ad really hits Scott

Regardless, Alex is head and shoulders above these annoying tools of the rich. I wish people would pay attention, and I hope Alex runs a tough race, against whoever.

3. Republicans are scum. Let's hope their short term racism, bigotry bites them in the ass in November
But, don't count on it. As E. J. Dionne said today, saying 'No' to Bush worked for Dems in 2006.
