Deputies: Witnesses Say She Had Sex With Father

BUNNELL, Fla. -- The daughter of a couple accused in a child pornography case was charged on Tuesday with incest, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said.

Kristilyn Smith, 25, is accused of having sex with her father, Alton Smith Jr., who was arrested on Monday after attempting to flee investigators by climbing down six stories of a New Smyrna Beach building, deputies said.

Smith will be booked into the Flagler County Inmate Facility. Bond is set at $25,000.

According to a news release, witnesses told investigators that Kristilyn Smith had sex with her 46-year-old father in August 2008 at the family’s Carlos Court home in Palm Coast.

Alton Smith also is charged with incest, as well as 37 counts of possession of child pornography. He also is being held on a total of $950,000 bail at the same jail as his daughter.

A few states allow first cousins to marry, but it's rare. All states have laws that make sexual relations between close family members illegal. And yesh, there is that je ne sais quoi about bedding one's daughter that just screams "bad taste". In a toothless and anacephalic way.

The website, Majorgeeks, runs a regular feature called "Florida Friday" that highlights the lowlights of that unique culture, and its manifold weirdnesses and dysfunctions, that is Florida. When you put a collection of the stories together, it's real interesting reading, in a trainwreck kind of way. I lived in Gainesville for a while, back in the 70's and got to know some of the old boys that lived in the sticks of Alachua County. An...ahem..."unique" bunch of people. 13. I sat on a jury for a trial where a guy was charged with fucking 2 of his daughters

They were both grown and in the court room, the younger of the two had a child by her father. The fellows wife was there too - she seemed quite surprised by the revelations from testimony. The guy had been screwing the two of them for decades and if he would have had a 3rd daughter she would have got it too. Although the trial was years ago I would have to guess the man is still in jail - we found him guilty on 27 counts, innocent on 1.
