Okay , had a run in w/ a "Help arnold" petition gatherer
They are very easy to spot with their
"help arnold" T-shirt I told the guy
"I'm not helping Arnold, no thank you"

Then this dude tried to tell me one of the
petitions was non-partisan ...The one about
union dues .

I had fun letting him know that if you don't want
your union dues going to Democrats you shouldn't
be in the union benefiting from what the Democrats
have given you . Since Republicans aim to Destroy
Unions of course unions aren't going to give republicans
one red cent .

Then I went in and continued my trip to the store for
milk .

It was fun :hi:

2. Try this: Ask the store manager to boot out the petition guy.
I got a petition gather kicked out the other day by telling the store manager that this individual was telling outright lies, and that the nature of his petition was one which many of the store's customers would find offensive.

(Not an Arnold petition gatherer, but someone trying to put a parental consent for abortion petition on the CA ballot. He was claiming that Hilary Clinton supports it and further, that a NY Times article says Clinton now opposes all abortions. I told the manager I'd actually read the Times article on Clinton and that it said no such thing. So he asked the man to leave.)

4. Our government by petition and referendum is Marxist
Not Karl Marxist - but GROUCHO, HARPO, CHICO, AND GUMMO MARXIST
<>
we even had an insurance commissioner named Quackenbush - fired him for having his Repug hand in the cookie jar

With the exception of Prop 71 (Stem Cell Research) and Referendum A (BART to San Jose) - I generally vote "NO" and I don't sign petitions.

6. Christine Craft is advocating....
writing a "NO" with a red sharpie pen when offered the petition to sign (just keep all remarks within the single designated signature space)....Nothing illegal about doing that, although the contract petition signature gatherer will be pissed and will be compelled to retire that petition and start with a new one. It's a good way to voice our opinion on this crap. Now, where's that red sharpie....:)

10. Yes thanks.
I was trying to figure out a way to invalidate a page of the petition without going to jail...

11. Well, it doesn't invalidate the entire page...
just the one line. It would be their choice to dispose of it, and they will, because Arnie's gang wouldn't let the girlie-man and his mandate look bad by showing there is some opposition. Writing something poignant in red ink would slow the next person down and make them think...and Arniebots can't have that. We can't stop it, but we can slow it down by throwing a monkey wrench into the works. Hmmm, Monkey Wrench Gang, that takes this rabble-rouser back a few years. ;).

9. there are days when I almost have Run Overs with them.
The whole Arny thing started in front of big stores. These clone drones that sell Arnoldism have sold a very faulty product to a populace that that love celebrity above democracy.
You might ask the Arnold patrollers what is in it for them.

12. Me too! First I said,
"I can't stand Arnold and won't back anything he backs."

When they told me it was non-partisan, I told them that anything that is backed by Republicans is meant to rob money for themselves.

Then I turned and headed for my car all the while they were shouting at me for being "another liberal nutjob". They were two old ladies about my age too. :eyes:

I wished I had some flyers to denounce the petition to hand out.
