Please resist as strenuously and loudly as possible the Bush administration’s attempt to privatize Social Security. I have no doubt that the money that goes into those private accounts will end up the same place deregulated savings & loan deposits and Enron shareholders money went: some secret account in the Cayman Islands.
I am 41 years old and teach college, but I don’t have health insurance or make enough money to pay my student loans. I cannot afford to support my baby boomer parents after the GOP steals their retirement.
You should not only oppose this, but bluntly call it what it is: a gift to Bush’s Wall Street supporters at the expense of the working and middle class. Bush’s entire agenda is class warfare, meant to pull us down to the level of a Third World country, with a few people living in a gated community on a hill, and the rest of us living in cardboard boxes at the bottom of the hill, scrounging for scraps in their garbage to survive. That’s not the America I want to live in, and it’s not the America I voted for you to allow.
Frankly, you lost a lot of credibility with democrats and progressives in California by not standing with Barbara Boxer to challenge the Ohio electors and even more so when you introduced Condoleeza Rice to the foreign relations committee in spite of her lies about issues as important as 9/11 and the need for War with Iraq. You have a lot of work to do win back our trust and convince us that you don’t need a challenger in the primary.
Remember that you represent ALL Californians, not just your husband and his contract in Iraq. Now, please do your job.

Hope she comes through for us. Pour on the shame. She needs a wake up call.

I've sent this woman numerous emails about various issues. If I get any response back at all, it's the exact same canned letter each time--doesn't matter what the issue is.

I sent her an e-mail on Jan. 5th and told her that if she couldn't muster the courage to protect the integrity of our vote, she would no longer be receiving mine! As of Jan. 6th, I have lost all respect for Feinstein. She didn't even have enough guts to show up! She stayed home ILL!! Right. I expect an elected official to embrace honor and integrity while serving in office. She has failed us miserably! Thank God for Barbara! She is living testimony to the power of TRUTH!

She isn't in it for the idealism. She's in it for the business connections. The republicans are (or at least some used to be) more honest abou that.
