A report on the demolition of the homeless encampments –what happened, why it happened, and what is going to happen next. The progressive community has been asked to provide City Council member Oliver Baines with a plan that will provide safe and legal places for homeless people to live. These sites will have basic public services like drinking water, a place to go to the bathroom, and trash pickup. If you want to be a part of changing the City of Fresno’s public policy on the homeless, come to this meeting.
There is also the potential for legal action against the City of Fresno and Caltrans for taking and destroying homeless people’s property during the destruction of all the encampments in downtown Fresno. If you want to learn more, come to this meeting.
This is the monthly meeting of the Central Valley Progressive PAC, Fresno Center for Nonviolence,1584 N. Van Ness Ave. For more info, contact 559-435-7360 or [email protected]
