Calling all Progressive Los Angelinos
Progressive Picnic at Pan Pacific Park

Come together to celebrate the American Dream,
share your vision of the American Dream, and
help build the movement that can rebuild the
American Dream. Progressive organizations
are coming together in a coalition picnic. We are
each working on restoring a piece of the American
Dream. Please turn out your members. It will be
potluck - we will provide the coals and will ask
people to bring what they want to grill plus one
small food item to share.

WE THE PEOPLE: A Progressive Gathering JULY 17TH 2-5PM at PAN PACIFIC PARK

REBUILD THE AMERICAN DREAM - We are coming together to celebrate the American Dream and work together to rebuild it. This is what democracy looks like! We want a true democracy, free from corporate influence. We want lobbying limits, campaign contribution disclosures, and campaign finance reform. We want jobs bills not budget cuts. We want to increase tax revenues by making corporate tax dodgers pay their fair share of taxes, and by repealing the unfair tax cuts to the ultra rich. We want an end to endless war, bring the boys home, and spend that money at home. We want universal healthcare, which will reduce the cost of our healthcare system. We want home ownership and college educations. We want a clean environment and clean energy. We want good jobs, with unions protections. We want regulation of the financial industry with fair access for funding for small businesses. We want pensions, social security and a secure retirement. Come join us in rebuilding the American dream. This is an opportunity for progressives to come together and support each other. Numerous progressive organizations will present their campaign strategies in a teach-in with workshops and a bar-be-que. Sponsoring organizations include; MoveOn.org, Common Cause, Progressive Democrats, US Uncut, Move To Amend, Coffee Party, WILPF, Code Pink, Sierra Club/LA Beyond Coal, Planned Parenthood LA ... among others (others to be added as endorsements are received).
