1. I'm going to Southern Humboldt for the Mateel Summer Arts Fair.
I used to go to the Western days Weekend in Pt. Reyes years ago when I lived in Inverness. I was managing a ska band called 'Net Weight'. We would roll with the parade, set up on a flat-bed truck, and kick ass. Then we would set the band up across from the Western Saloon and kick some more ass. Then the bar-b-q! Way fun!

Yeah man. This late rain is sucking though. I hope we get some clearing at the music & arts fair. 3 stages of music, and hundreds of craft vendors etc, combined with the Humboldt County vibe and herb. I'm heading out in the morning.

Have fun in Pt. Reyes! :hi:

5. Also down the tubes: the Sunnyvale Art and Wine Festival
and goodness knows what else. I feel awful for any nonprofits that were counting on such events as a major source of revenue for the year (the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation almost went under after several days of Jazz Fest were rained out one year :( ).
