I predict that he'll win by a bit less than last time though. And next time, or at the very latest in 2008, this seat is ours for good. The trends are clearly pro-Democratic in all of Contra Costa and that small historically-GOP leaning portion of Alameda that's in the 15th. In 2002, Donna Gerber had the misfortune of running in an election at the same time as Gray Davis, and in a very good year for the right. Unfortunately, I don't think that Elaine Shaw has been very spirited. She doesn't even have a website for her campaign, for instance. I don't think that this is required, but it's a good idea.

3. Just wondering in SoEast Sac county

I was redistricted into this race 2 years ago from (yuch) pombo's. All I know is that Ms Shaw has sent me a ton of expensive looking mailers this season. I've seen no polling data.
