Coming to El Lay next week - any suggestions?
Like, what's going on at a local level that I can't miss?

And of course - what breweries are a MUST see?

Does anyone want to meet up or hang out at said breweries or ale houses?

1. I'm not tuned in to the LA brewery scene
But There's a local brewpub , BJ's that serves their own brew.

It's part of a chain, but I would love to meet you in the Westlake BJs (Ventura County).
Drop me a line

3. Not sure about breweries
LA does not seem to be a hotbed of Brew-pubs where beer is brewed on-premises.

You might want to try these fine drinking establishments:

Tiki Ti on Sunset just east of Vermont http://www.tiki-ti.com/ No beer but some amazing tropical drinks. My personal fave

Bonaventure Brewing Company, in the downtown LA Bonventure Hotel (which also features a rotating bar at the top) http://www.bbc2go.com/

Crazy Hook, a pirate themed pub in Koreatown (near Wilshire and Vermont). You can order a tower of beer with a tap, delivered to your table

Good Microbrew - a very large selection of beer. The onion rings are great http://www.goodmicrobrew.com/

Cat and Fiddle - English style pub on Sunset in Hollywood http://www.thecatandfiddle.com/

In general, check out www.laweekly.com for entertainment events
