Emergency rally for Lashaun Harris
Dear Community Members and Racial Justice Activists,

This is very short notice, I just found out myself....

Tomorrow at 9 A.M., preliminary hearing for Lashaun Harris, who during a psychotic decompensation threw her children in the SF Bay.

The Community will hold a short rally at 8:45 A.M. in front of SF Hall of Justice at 850 Bryant St., while leaders of the Faith will lead us in prayers before stepping into the court room to support Lashaun's family.

Leroy Moore, Director of SF Disability Advocates for Minorities Organization is attending the rally.

Lashaun Harris suffered from schizophrenia since early childhood.... Her tragic gesture is sadly typical of poor medical management and the failure of CPS to save children's life. Lashaun should be transferred to a psychiatric unit, not behind bars, or a potential candidate for death row!

An overwhelming number of women on death row nationwide are battered women or women with serious mental health issues, killing their partner or children in a moment of desperate insanity. Lashaun definitely is the epitome of such psychological makeup.

Please plan to attend!
