Rep. Susan Davis, San Diego 53rd Dist. not hip to DSM: PHONE!

The Out of Iraq Caucus is going to be bringing the DSM to the House floor (special order, after conclusion of business), and we're supposed to contact our Congresscritters to take part.

So I call Susan Davis' office in San Diego and the person who answers the phone doesn't know if Susan in the the Out of Iraq Caucus, but asks someone and finds out the answer is no. So I have to explain the Downing Street Dossier, that we were bombing Iraq while the chimp was still pretending not to have made up his mind, etc., etc., and while the phone is probably answered by an intern or volunteer, I am horrified to find such ignorance in the office of a Democratic Congresscritter.

The San Diego office number is (619) 280-5353

3. Thanks, nadinb -- every little bit of pressure helps.

I used to do volunteer work in a Congresscritter's office, but the reason I volunteered was because I was concerned about various issues and agreed with the critter's proposals. I guess some people volunteer just because it might look good on their resume.

2. there's GOT to be some mistake or misunderstanding
how could anybody on the planet--let alone a member of Congress, a DEMOCRATIC member no less--not know about the DSM?

4. Yeah, that's what I'm hoping.

Well, if we hit the phones, at least we'll educate one person. And they're probably in a good position to educate others. Without the MSM to push an issue, we have to talk to everyone we can.

Anybody answering the phone in the office of a Democratic member of Congress deserves to get a good education, even if that's not what they'd had in mind. And our comments do get passed along to Susan.

WAKE UP LITTLE SUZIE!
