Will Dems pass up an opportunity... again???

Check out this article by Brad Friedman. Dems have an opportunity to join Miller in his quest to get a hand count from the election. We could go a long way informing Alaskans about the frailties and inconsistencies in our voting system. Is there a reason why the Dems are not pursuing this angle?

1. That's a great article,
and I couldn't agree more that we need to do something about this. I really don't care that much about the voter intent name-spelling issue (although I have to agree that a write-in for "Lisa Murcowshit" most likely is not really a vote for Lisa, even though I read somewhere that it was counted as one), but I am more concerned with the total number of ballots cast being the total number counted. It's just simply impossible for me to believe that voter turnout was down in this election cycle given all the national and local attention that was given to this race.
