Even if it were true, what does it say about the President of the Senate
that he made no effort to meet all of the senators? That's a "uniter, not a divider" mentality? Edwards was a freshman senator and Cheney should have held a meeting at the beginning of each session to meet ALL of the freshmen!

Turns out, his comment was a lie but it says more about him than it does about Edwards.

1. That was my thought, too...
Senator Leahy said yesterday on Hardball that he never sees Cheney, either, since he comes in on Tuesdays and only meets with Republicans. As the leader of the Senate, shouldn't you be working with both sides of the aisle? How is that leadership?

4. Shows him up for the self-involved partisan jerk we all knew he was.
Another attempt to smear Edwards that turns into a small gift when opened, instead of the bomb Cheney hoped it would be. Like 'factcheck.com' -- Somebody did us a big ol' favor last night by redirecting that URL to George Soros. Not that the real page to Annenberg would have helped Cheney make his point all that well -- factcheck.org has plenty not very nice to say about that administration. Either way, the 'check me on the Internet' line didn't help him either.

5. Edwards didn't miss much. Cheney would have just told him
to "go f**k yourself". That's Cheneyspeak for "Welcome to the Senate".
