Cheney: blatant lies
CHENEY: The senator has got his facts wrong. I have not suggested there's a connection between Iraq and 9/11, but there's clearly an established Iraqi track record with terror.

Well, what we now have that's developed since you and I last talked, Tim, of course, was that report that's been pretty well confirmed, that he (Mohammed Atta) did go to Prague and he did meet with a senior official of the Iraqi intelligence service in Czechoslovakia last April, several months before the attack. Now, what the purpose of that was, what transpired between them, we simply don't know at this point. But that's clearly an avenue that we want to pursue.

This is not only the most secretive administration ever, they are also the most deceptive..They can twist and lie like no other, and they hide from the media and opponents so they don' get called on it.. No wonder you have to sign a loyalty oath to get into their events, because you would have had to sold your soul to continue to support this corrupt administration..Worse then Nixon..You bet!

5. Blatant lie caught on tape
Edited on Wed Oct-06-04 01:25 AM by 3113
On the MSNBC post-debate coverage, Brian Williams showed a clip from tonight of Cheney saying he never suggested there's a connection between Iraq and 9/11, and then Williams showed a clip of Cheney on Meet the Press a year ago when he said there was a direct link between Iraq and 9/11.

7. He lectured patronizingly on "wrong facts" . . .
Then proceeded, with a straight face, to tell 50 million people he 'never claimed Iraqi involvement in 911'.

Here are some facts:

--Even so, on March 24, 2002, Cheney again told NBC, "We discovered . . . the allegation that one of the lead hijackers, Mohamed Atta, had, in fact, met with Iraqi intelligence in Prague."

http://pages.zdnet.com/trimb/id169.html

After the commission debunked connections between Iraq and Al-Quaeda he STILL promoted the idea of a connection.

http://globalsecurity.com/war_and/cheney_link.htm

--Then, after our "free press" had dutifully been turning tricks in support of the Bush/Cheney big lie in 2002/2003 he had the sand to accuse a "lazy" media of blurring the line between Iraq and 911.

Either an extremely bold liar or the man has some un-addressed psychiatric issues.

8. He lied so much, people tuned him out.
It is like being in the courtroom, lie on the witness stand and lose your credibility, and the rest of your testimony comes into question.

I guess the media is used to and are comfortable with the lies they way they were swooning over cheney last night. However, going by the on-line and public opinion polls it looks like the American people have had enough of being lied to.

10. Dick Cheney can lie the horns off a billy goat.
It is sad that so many Americans will believe that man. I think he has psychological issues and is enabling Shrubs idiocy.
