That's great. Edwards is winning in all the online polls
even Foxnews.

The best is on the WSJ Edwards 94% Cheney 4%!! 6444 votes

Some comments

I felt Sen. Edwards did exactly what he needed to do--pointed out the places where the Administration's policies have failed. He stayed on topic, always came back, and never allowed himself to be intimidated. I believed him; I felt V.P. Chaney was simply repeating the same tired old Administration line which doesn't sell anyway. (Charisma doesn't help, either.)

I find Cheney to be as frightening as Bush appears to be a dolt.

The Bush-Cheney administration continues to perpetrate the BIG LIE on the American people, so big, many continue to be convinced their story is the truth. If you say something enough times, strongly enough, you will convince some. But we, the voters, are not as stupid and easily manipulated as the Republicans (or those leading the Bush-Cheney machine, whoever they actually are) would like to think. One reason, many families have sons and daughters. mothers or fathers on the ground in Iraq, as well as many who have gone as civilians and journalists, who now tell the real facts everyday, if you will read and listen. Military experts assess the bad and getting worse scenario, as well as many of our leaders who also survived the Viet Nam disaster. As John Kerry said, 'you can be certain and be wrong'. The 'facts'spouted by Bush and Cheney are so far from the truth, it is hard to imagine that magnitude of the deception at the top level of government. God save us. Amen.

John Edwards has energy, facts and communication ability. He is not defensive. He has a vision and brings hope that maybe, just maybe, the direction this country is headed, can be changed! Maybe we need a new administration to help heal the country and bring people together again. This administration has been more divisive that I can ever remember. I certainly don't see them changing.

This debate wasn't as embarrassing for the Bush campaign as the first one between Bush and Kerry. Cheney attempted to stick to his campaign talking points. However, Edwards made some excellent points about Cheney's and Bush's unwillingness or inability to recognize what's really happening -- both in America, with the economy, with the job market, and in Iraq. Their closing statements showed a huge difference between the two campaigns: Cheney's was about fear and uncertainty. Edwards' was about hope and returning to prosperity.

Senator Edwards hit the nail on the head - a long resume does not mean good judgment. The Kerry/Edwards ticket will use much better jugement to keep us safe, secure and strong. Edwards stayed focused and let the people know their particular plans. Edwards did not stray to personal attacks. Edwards displayed such integrity. I believe our country will be much better off with the Kerry/Edwards ticket.

John Edwards was articulate clear and on point illustrating several "flip flops" of the President and definitive areas of difference between the status quo and a return to fiscal responsibility.
Kimberly Burdon

Cheney was certainly more presidential this week than Bush was last w eek. He is articulate and intelligent. But even though this debate was not embarrassing for the Republicans, Edwards made some excellent points and came across as knowledgeable and assured. We are in a huge mess in Iraq and even Cheney cannot make it credible by pointing out that we "only" make up 50% of the casualties if you "count" the Iraqi casualties instead of focusing on the coalition alone. The deficit situation for this country is disastrous and no amount of tax benefits for business will make it a good climate for doing business in this fiscal context. And Cheney's voting record over the years is much more troubling than Kerry's supposed "flip-flops." God forbid we are a heartbeat away from a zealot like that being our President

For the first time ever in the campaign Edwards established the REPUBLICAN flip flops in distinct terms without any doubt whatsoever.

Independent now for Kerry!
