The realclearpolitcs.com is a "polling" center that tries to appear non-partisan, but they are friends of rathergate.com.

Before it finishes hopping to realclearpolitics.com on the next hop.

And guess what, rathergate.com resolves to 216.66.28.40.

Coincidence?

And how come a whois of 216.164.99.182 doesn't work? Doesn't every IP have to submit to a whois?

In short, it looks like realclearpolitcs.com is more repub spin machine. Heh, no wonder they whine about the polls.

2. RealClearPolitics has always beeen a right wing blog

Last election (2000), if memory serves, he predicted that Bush would win in a HUGE landslide based on his collection of recent polls. I think his final guesstimate was somewhere around 425 to 103 for Bush, with Bush winning by 7-9%

I've always been glad that he has never really put up any of the kooky right wing's anti-gay stuff, though he will put up some articles that oppose gay rights if they are well thought out (he seems more libertarian than actually conservative sometimes).

But realclearpolitics.com pings out at 207.229.190.24 for me.

So there may be a mirror or a typo somewhere.


tracert for rathergate.com hits the edge of the blackmesh.com network at 209.51.181.22 from here and proceeds through a number of no info hops.

I can't make any connection between the two aside from the 216 Class A address. A Class A address yields BUNCHES of IPs though...
