Bush hates criticism, what are his handlers telling him about debate #1?
Edited on Sat Oct-02-04 12:07 PM by Hamlette
remember the story of when Bush ran for congress 20+ years ago. After a stump speech, on the way home, Laura said something negative about how he'd done (something soft like: "maybe you talked too long" or something like that). Bush's reaction was to ram his car into their garage.

Is he taking it better these days or are his handlers telling him he was brilliant? And what will the effect be?

Bush did so much better in 2000. He wasn't very good but he did better. Is it because he had no record and could be all things to all people whereas now he has to own up to his failures...just like his Dad?

The next debate will be fascinating. Unfortunately I won't get to see it. (I can't stand that I'll be away from a TV AND a computer for 6 days!) I'll have someone record it for me.

1. I was wondering that myself. Some say he was shocked because
he lives in a bubble, and did not know what Kerry was talking about. That bubble would HAVE to be burst to tell him he did NOT do well in the debates in order to shore him up for the next debates?

Or maybe there will be some terrorist attack at or near the next debate venue just in time to cancel?

Who knows with this team in office?

4. Bush believed his own propaganda
It was as if he had expected to go up against a waffling and watery opponent and was befuddled when Kerry was there instead.

2. Wouldn't you think a story like that
would make most people nervous, having someone with that kind of rage running our country? Geesus.....no wonder he wants wall to wall wars. I'll bet he secretly enjoys hearing about all these killings. If you've watched any biographies on serial killers, they show that kind of rage. It has to come out some kind of way,and it's usually in killing animals or other people. That bastard has got to go. But what are we all going to do if they steal it AGAIN? Are we going to accept another 4 years of this thief thinking he has a mandate to do whatever the hell he wants? :scared: :scared: :scared:

5. There was an episode of
the old Twilight Zone tv series in which an evil kid turned anyone who didn't lavish constant praise upon him into a scarecrow out in a cornfield. I think that's how the chimp operates. Tell him he's great no matter how bad he screws up or risk some horrible fate.

7. His "filters" are telling him ...
that he did great. He has NO IDEA what the rest of us are talking about. His yes-men henchmen have told him that what little criticism he got came from "big time" liberal assholes.

8. Has anyone seen Laura since the debate?
Is she wearing sunglasses? Seriously, I would have been very afraid to go home with that guy. All that rage.

After the debate they went to a rally where fans could pump him up a little bit. He pounded the podium there for a while. But you gotta know he was still mad.

9. he's a 55 year old spoiled brat, like many offspring of the wealthy
rather than his parents instilling in him the sense that to whom much is given much is expected, he has grown up instead with a sense of entitlement.

10. Why has Bush been so pissed off all his life?
He's had every fucking thing handed to him!! What if he lived some of our lives? I have a low paying job and barely make it each month; NO health insurance; and all my bosses are dumb asses. I should be pissed off all the time. Bush should be the happiest fucker in the whole world.

11. the who wrote Bush on the Couch
said he can't stand criticism because his mom criticized him all time.

I've known people like that. It always seemed to me that they deserved the criticism. Can't you just picture Bush as a bratty kid and that's why the family thought Jeb was the one to be Prez?
