MEDIA ALERT! The "goring" has begun and we need to take action
I saw CNN spinning yesterday and today it's getting worse. MSNBC had someone in the spin room talking to Rove and Karen Hughes and she went on forever:eyes: however, there was not one clip of anyone talking to people in the Dem spin room.

We need to immediately call them out on this. CNN is a bad a FOX these days. Pound them with emails? Have a call to action thread everytime there is a spin that is obviously a lie? It is proven that when we use our collective forces the tide changes. We need a very proactive plan and we need it now.

Suggestions?

1. stop watching CNN
Tell others about them. Send emails. Mainly, though, stop watching. Hit them in their Neilsons.

STOP WATCHING CNN.

And don't send them e-mails, send e-mails to their advertisers and CC them to CNN.

Make sure your e-mails are well reasoned, non-threatening, factual and concise. If I get a chance this weekend, I'll put together a list of CNN advertisers and their contact information.

Edit: I've been doing this whenever I see something really egregious.

For example: "I've always enjoyed your product, but your affiliation with CNN's biased and incomplete reporting on this issue has damaged my opinion of your company."

It's important to be polite, and refer to a specific incident or to the general coverage of a specific event.

3. Boycott CNN!
Send them an email telling them why you won't watch them anymore, then stop. I did. If all Dems do it, CNN will hit rock bottom in viewership. Then, and only then, will they change their Faux aping right wing bias.

4. Even the brain dead know what they saw.
This could be the tipping point to dispel the "left leaning media" myth that has been alive so long. I think this spin is going to backfire on them.

6. Today was the first time I saw an ad on CNN for The Swift Boat book,
Limbaugh's newsletter and the American Spectator. They aim that crap at "their" audience. (This was during the John Edwards piece by P.Zahn, which incidentally trashed Edwards at the end-trial lawyer, too ambitious, all that crap)

7. They don't need Fair and Balanced!
That would not make it fair. After all, they have shrub, balancing the whole thing for them.
Another night like Thrusday, they will not cover Kerry at all.

9. Maybe we can try a positive approach
Let's all request that the networks interview Holbrooke ...or some other effective Democrat. If they get enough emails, maybe that person will get more exposure.

If you agree, we should try to come up with one or at most two names. Any thoughts?

10. CNN market share is Crap & falling they will not listen to
anything you have to say they are a propaganda machine for Corporate Power and Karl Rove IMO

If all their advertisers abandoned them they would go on funded by some right wing fascist spewing lies to the ignorant.
