Sirius Subscribers Unite- Complain About The Kerry Bashing Promos on 144
Edited on Fri Oct-01-04 03:51 PM by redstateliberal
I am sick of their "Make Sure You Vote" campaign which features phone calls from Bushbots that trash Kerry and Democrats. Let them know you got Sirius so you wouldn't have to listen to Right Wing BS

3. Yeah, WTF is up with that?
Also, on the comedy channels, they will often play little snippets of song parodies under the title of "Sirius" that are almost always anti-Kerry. (And moronically anti-Kerry at that).

Knowing that their competition, XM, or whatever it is called, is in the pocket of Clear Channel, what is Sirius thinking ticking off Democrats?

I listen to 144 all the time and hear many people voting for Kerry instead of W. Honestly, they play more pro-jk than w.

6. True- But I don't want to hear any Kerry bashing-I'm paying for it
because I can get Kerry bashing and pro Bush stuff all day long for free.

7. They can't just play pro-Kerry soundbites
They have to play to both sides of their clientele.

I have Sirius too, and like the other poster said, I hear a lot more of the pro-Kerry bites than pro-dumbya.

Left Talk isn't it? Do you think Rush Limbaugh is gonna have Bush bashing during his ad time?

9. I don't think they base what ads
they play based on which station it is.

10. They stopped playing the Hannity promos when we complained
I think they'll do whatever the customers demand if they want to stay in business. Some of the Bush calls are a list of RW talking points- it's just out of place on a supposedly liberal channel.

11. I didn't realize that
But to be perfectly honest whenever they play any of those stupid promos I change the channel.

13. The ads are usually pro-Kerry
and the few pro-bush are so funny (a president sent by god, etc.) that it doesn't bother me. But I did write to them the weekend before last when both Sirius Left and AAR were replaced by football and most of the rightie stations were left on the air.

But please, write or call them. I called with a complaint about Sirius Left (before AAR came on the air) and a few weeks later they changed the format and replaced some of the programming on Sirius Left. Sirius needs to know that we lefties are paying attention.

14. That's all I'm trying to do- the right wing has been shaping
the way the media programs in a disciplined way for many years. We need to stay on them- like you say- let them know we are paying attention
